Part of word precognized

I have a glossary term “HomeCare”. And in a post we might have the following sentence:
“Here at @homecare we provide homecare to ….”
The problem is the @homecare is being picked up. Is there any way without manually putting in the shortcode to exclude @homecare? I’ve looked through the plugin code and haven’t been able to figure it out.
