• Hi There,
    Am using Parament v1.3 and only a partial main menu is showing, even though all of the items are visible in the menus of the Dashboard.

    Our website is https://www.AviationWA.org.au

    Have tried a number of things, based on advice from the Support team at our website hosting company, but none seem to work:

    I have tried amending php.ini to add:
    max_input_vars = 4000

    Have amended wp-config.php to add:
    (define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’);

    Have tried increasing execution time.

    They are now suggesting advising the theme creator, or re-loading the theme, but that means I will have to re-load the menu (and we have a large menu).

    Is there anything else you could suggest please?

    Thanks,
    David

    How many menu items do you have? Massive menus in WordPress can indeed cause database issues.

    Possibly related Core tickets:

    If you switch temporarily to one of the default themes (like Twenty Fourteen or Twenty Thirteen) do you see the whole menu there? If you have the same problem in another theme that would rule out a theme issue. (Switching themes may move your widgets into the Inactive area – you may want to make a note of your current widget structure.)

    Another troubleshooting step is to turn off all your plugins temporarily to see if one of them might be interfering with your menus. If the problem goes away, turn them back on one-by-one to find the culprit.

    If you can’t find the culprit, I’d suggest restructuring your menu so it isn’t so long. In its current form, it creates a challenging user experience, particularly on smaller devices – and may frustrate your visitors since it’s so long.

    One thing you could do is create a landing page where you list your sub-pages, instead of making them available only through a very long drop-down menu.
