• The featured image at the top of this page appears to be “zoomed in,” that is, not all of the image is displaying. I’ve attempted to fix this by

    1. clicking on it
    2. clicking Edit Image
    3. scaling the image in the Edit Image screen

However, it doesn’t respond to the scaling. No matter how small I make it, it still appears to be zoomed in. It does respond when I flip it horizontally and vertically, but there is no apparent change in the image when I scale it.

How can I make the entire image display?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I also tried cropping the image, to no avail.

    Hello @sec55,

the header images are meant as backgrounds in Bento (and mostly in other web design instances as well) – this implies that since on different devices their area will necessarily be different (compare smartphone and laptop screen aspect ratio), they should be cropped to fit any screen the visitor is using. Otherwise, the website won’t be truly responsive, which would lower its usability.

Bento’s header images are set to automatically fit the available header space, which varies varies depending on the length of the title as well as the browser window width-to-height ratio. In other words, there is no option for a fixed-size header image in the theme as that would require fixing a lot of other parameters as well, resulting in a mobile-ufriendly (or desktop-unfriendly) website.

OK. Then how do I go about putting a responsive, full-page or half-page image on the site? As in a landing page?

There’s no functionality currently in Bento to assign a specific height to an image, including a percentage of screen height, yet technically this can be achieved via custom CSS.
