    Hi,

I do not understand anything about PHP really… I’ve just uploaded and activated the AAT plugin and now it is preventing me view ANY page on the backend; dashboard, plugins, posts, pages, settings… all give a blank page with:

“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CLASS in /home/blurbify/public_html/wp-content/plugins/advanced-access-manager/application/control/object/metabox.php on line 1”

I’ve checked line 1 in metabox.php and it just says <?php

Help me please, this project needs to be finished by the end of the week.

The other plugins I have installed are:

    akismet
    author bio box
    contact form 7
    easy author image
    google analytics for wordpress
    wp page navi (inactive)
    wp scheduled posts (inactive)

    Hi blurbify,
I’m assuming you uploaded the plugin via FTP. Make sure that whatever you are using to transfer file, the Transfer Mode is Binary NOT ASCII.

Just wanted to chime in and say that this is a common problem among some plugins for some hosting environments.

One example of a fix is here, where you just have to add a space after the php declaration.

Also, thanks for using my Easy Author Image plugin!

    Hi Jesse,
That is interesting :). Thank you for the info.

Just a few words to say that I had the same problem than blurbify while installing aam plugin (quite frightening btw)… And this problem magically disappearing by adding a space after php declaration in metabox.php !!!
Could be a good idea to fix this problem for your next upgrade ?

    Special thx to Lawsonry ;p

    Regards
