• Hello.
Yesterday, following detailed instructions i attempted to edit the footer in my Atahualpa theme. My site became inaccessible- the following message displays:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/dreamstersunion/dreamstersunion.com/wp-content/themes/atahualpa-disabled/functions.php on line 145

Dreamhost told me my Atahualpa template is damaged. I can’t access my admin files to reload the template/site files

    Basically, my website is gone.
I have no idea what happened or how to repair the error and get my site back online. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
    Best, Lisa

  • Re-upload a fresh copy of the theme to wp-content/themes using FTP.

Hi. I can’t access anything related to my site even from within dreamhost. whenever try to access files related to the site this message appears:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/dreamstersunion/dreamstersunion.com/wp-content/themes/atahualpa-disabled/functions.php on line 145
    thanks lisa

You need to use FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    Two possible answers:

    1) Use filezilla (or another ftp program) to connect to your site and delete the Atahualpa theme.

That will activate the default theme and should allow you to log into your site.

    2) Make a fresh installation of WordPress on a sub-directory. Install Atahahualap.

Connect to your new sub-directory with filezilla and copy the damaged file to your computer. Then use filezilla to upload it to your damaged site, replacing the damaged file(s)
