I had WordPress (and WooCommerce) installed on my site: https://glc.apolitical.info.

However I deleted everything on the site (but left PHPMyAdmin as it was).

    Today I uploaded WordPress again.

However, when I go to https://glc.apolitical.info to run the installation, I get the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/apolitic/www/glc/wp-admin/includes/media.php on line 1414

  • This sounds like a possible “upload” corruption or something like that… I would suggest delete everything and reupload the files on your server.

I found another topic on a subject that looks like the “same” problem… I would suggest to delete all the files once again (make sure they are deleted properly I know through FileZilla it can take a while). Once it’s done reupload everything and make sure there is no failure on the uploads.

    I understand it’s a clean install you’re doing right?

Thanks. I deleted the old MySQL account and created a new one, and deleted and re-uploaded all the files, and it worked.

    Glad to hear that!!
