parseerror when testing Stripe

I purchased the Stripe plugin. I set it up with the test key/secret, with the correct webhooks (in stripe), correct Payment intent secret. I followed all the instructions. But when I try to make a test payment using the 4242 test card, I get a ‘parseerror’
