parse errors

  • I am using wp 1.5.2 My site is https://gisel.us

    My page is not validating an not diplaying either. I am getting the following errors along with various T_ELSE & STRING errors. My old themes are still working, but anything new I upload gives these errors even though the new theme is the same as the old but with different colors, etc.

    Error Line 1 column 0: no document type declaration; will parse without validation.

    Error Line 2 column 59: character data is not allowed here.

    However, I do have a document declaration it is:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN”

    <html xmlns=”https://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml&#8221; lang=”en” xml:lang=”en”>
    <head>

    Why is it not being read? any ideas?

    Never mind I think the problem was somehow with the theme itself. I downloaded another theme from Dilip and that one works like a charm.
