Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/content/15/12453415/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-html-mail/includes/class-haet-mail.php on line 148

My site was created by someone I no longer have contact with. I have always done everything through the admin side of my website. A couple nights ago I was updating plugins and now when I try to access my site or the admin side of the site I get this error. I created a new account to be able to post in the forum. I cannot access the www.remarpro.com page for the account my site was created with. Any tips on how to at least get this plugin removed so I can access the admin side of my site again?

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello davidlangston,

deactivating plugins is very easy as long as you have FTP access to your hosting.

Just go to the directory: “yoursite/wp-content/plugins/wp-html-mail”,
and rename the plugin folder, for example like this: “wp-html-mail-old”.

After that you should be able to get into your back end and also remove the plugin if necessary.

    Best regards

    Hello davidlangston,

are you maybe using an older version of PHP?

If yes, please just update your PHP Version to a minimum of 7.2.

    Best regards
    Julian
