Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '=', expecting ')' in /home8/infecti4/publ

I could really use some help here! I just got the following error while trying to edit my theme. I was trying to edit the Twitter section of the “News Today” theme and all of a sudden this came up and not I can’t even log in to WordPress.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘=’, expecting ‘)’ in /home8/infecti4/public_html/wp-content/themes/TodaysNews/functions.php on line 75
I can get into Bluehost and I’ve heard about going through FTP to fix it, but I’m not sure what that means. I tried upgrading to 3.2.1 from I believe 3.0.1 as I heard that sometimes fixes it but then I got this error:
Version Discrepancy
We have detected that you are running a version outside of the scope of this upgrade. We’ve updated our records with your current version. Please refresh the page to see if you have additional upgrades available. So now I’m just stuck, I have no idea to get back into WordPress and no idea to fix this. Help, please!
