Parse error: syntax error, unexpected

    Hi,

    Suddenly I found my site is showing “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home1/jphula/public_html/index.php on line 17”. This error is not only for the main page for other pages also I am watching the similar errors. Is the site is hacked by any one? How to prevent from this. What is the fixation?
