Parse error, syntax error, help!!!! :(

My friend updated her wordpress site to 3.8 and now she gets this error-

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting ‘)’ in /hermes/bosoraweb121/b516/ipg.theoutageexpertscom/test/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/lib/aihrus/class-aihrus-common.php on line 88

The site is theoutageexpert.com

I have no idea what this means. And we have no backup of the site. I’m freaking out. Does it sound like an issue with the host, or an issue with a plugin not supporting wordpress 3.8, or does anybody have any clue how to fix this? The host is iPage. Can’t even log into the site. I can access it by FTP obviously but I have no idea how to go about fixing this! Help!
