• Hey, I’m a total noob at this stuff. I’m very frustrated and I have no idea whats wrong.

So I was following this guys video on DIYthemes on how to edit the Thesis Theme using the Custom File Editor.

When I tried to change the location of my nav menu, I hit the Save button and got this error message:

“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/mjsielerjr/nononsensegerman.com/wp-content/themes/thesis_18/custom/custom_functions.php on line 32”

I hit the back button and deleted the code I typed in and hit the save button, but I still get the same Error button!

I’ve given up, I have no idea what to do, I could really use some help.
    Thanks in advance.

ps. I also can’t get back to the custom file editor.

Did you forget some ” or ; somewhere?

Use an ftp program and a text/html-editor to gain access to custom_functions.php. Then use pastebin and show us the code in your custom_functions.php file.

I know I did something stupid, because I’m a total noob at this ??

Hitting the back button won’t work if you’ve crashed your site. If you are unable to get back to the editor the normal way, ftp or a file manager will need to be used

line 32 and 33 each have an extra ‘ apostrophe before the word header

Thanks Rev. I got my site back working, but I can’t seem to get the nav menu to go under the Header. I deleted the extra ‘ but it still won’t go under the header.

Unfortunately, I don’t know a thing about thesis…. just wanted to help get your site back up! Hopefully somebody with specific knowledge can help further
