"Parse Error" Can't Get To Website or Login Page

Rename the “socrates” folder within the themes directory on your server. Rename it to anything other than “socrates”. Then try logging in.

I renamed Socrates and now I just get a blank page. The page won’t load. Tried /wp-admin and /wp-login.php. Same thing.

Do you have a default WordPress theme within your themes directory?

Yes! Twenty 11, 12, &13.

Try checking your site’s error logs for messages. Your hosts should be able to help you in accessing your site’s error logs.

I will do that. Also, I noticed that the .htaccess file looks strange – the icon in Filezilla is a blue bar with a red and blue dot below it.
