Parse error cannnot log in

  • After updating plugins the following message appears and I cannot log in to my blog

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/mamazaki/domains/fractalcafe.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/democracy-poll/class-DemPoll.php on line 626

    What should I do?

    Can you get to your file manager to temporarily rename the folder for DEMOCRACY POLL plugin?
    Looks like a possible error with plugin
    Renaming folder will deactivate plugin and you should be able to login to your WordPress dashboard
    Rename the plugin folder Democracy Plugin Old (or something similar)

    Hi Lisa,

    I’m not able to log in to the blog at all via https://fractalcafe.com/wp-admin/
    If only I could I would just remove the entire plugin!

    Do you have any idea how to fix it?
    Is ther any other way I could log in?

    You need to use either FTP or your host control panel File Manager to rename or delete the wp-content/plugins/democracy-poll folder.

    if you have access to your file manager in your webhosting provider account you can delete the plguin. (no wp-admin access is required)

    what is the name of the company that is hosting your website?

    My webhosting provider fixed that for me! Via FTP.
