Someone has been editing that file. and added something to it that’s not meant to be there.

To fix it, download a new copy of that theme and use FTP to upload the new copy of that file to your server. That will give you a clean copy and fix that error.

Now, after that I’d also suggest that you do a scan of the site using this:

    https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/

The reason for this is that the line that’s got the issue is after the end of the standard file, and that’s normally one of the places that hackers like to hide their code.

Of course, if you or someone you kno whas bene playing around with this file that won’t be the case, but I always prefer to be safe then sorry. ??

    cat,

Thank you for your assistance in this matter. I did in fact try to edit some code to try and include a “personal” Facebook feed in our website. I contacted my webhost twice and they finally repaird it for me in a matter of minutes. They initially directed me to WordPress. I was in a panic, as I did not want to have the website down for an extended period. This site is for a fraternal/charitable organization and not afford to pay big bucks for managing the site. I do all that I can, even messing up, for free.

Again, thank you for your response! I will refrain from modifying code, at least without proper direction.

    Regards,

    Bob
