Parent Page Attribute Not Showing Up

    So Ive done a little research on my problem and looked through other threads on this topic yet none of them resolved my issue so I am posting to hopefully get some help. Im trying to set my pages hierarchy and under “Page Attribute” tab the “Parent” drop down option isnt coming up anymore. It used to come up because I remember using it but now its not showing up. Ive tried disabling all my plugins and still nothing. I also tried changing my theme back to the “Two Thousand Fifteen” default theme and still nothing. I tried creating a new page while this theme was selected and still nothing.

    I can take pictures of what Im seeing on my screen if that would help.
    Im not sure what I did wrong here but some insight would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    Have you tried clearing your browser’s cache, a different browser? Does the “Page Attributes” section just not showing or the dropdown?

    Yes I just did and still nothing. Ive even tried it from my phone and laptop and still the same. I dont think it has to do with the device or the browser because it has come up as an option in this browser before anyways. The Page Attribute section shows up but the “Parent” dropdown menu is not included in there.

    The same thing is happening to me. I had a page that was showing up on the menu under the header, but is not now. The only thing that I’ve seen that’s different is that the Parent dropdown menu is no longer on the Page Attribute section. I’m using the iThemes Builder Pattern theme.

    @meandk0610 – that’s a commercial theme so you should ask the developer for help if the advice in this thread did not help you.

    If it’s not a theme-specific issue (i.e. you have the same problem on a default theme with all plugins deactivated), please start your own thread here:

    Thanks. I tried turning off plugins and switched to WP Twenty Fourteen theme and it looks like it’s actually a different problem. I’m going to play with it more…

    I also deactivated all plugins and switched to the default Twenty Fourteen Theme and I’m still getting the same problem. Can’t seem to figure it out.

    My site isnt up yet Im still working on it. Its AndyAwad.com. I have a screenshot I can show of the problem but Im not sure if that’ll help since you already know the problem/

    It might help – I’m not totally clear on where this problem is – but may not be able to do much to help without actually seeing the site.

    If you have the problem on a default theme with no plugins active, you might want to try reinstalling WP – you can click on that from your Dashboard.

    Updated it and no changes with my problem. Is there a difference between updating through my dashboard or downloading and uploading through ftp?

    Maybe, but not too likely. Can you try checking for JS errors?

    Ok I just checked for JS errors and there are none. I went through that whole thing. Its not the browser(I checked with Chrome & IE). I did a diagnosis in my browser(Chrome) and had no errors, just 2 warnings. They are:

    JQMIGRATE: jQuery.browser is deprecated
    JQMIGRATE: jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated

    Everything else is good. Are these the culprit?

    I have same problem on all of my Custom Post Types ??
