Now that Ollie is all ready to rock; is the procedure for getting started with a proper Ollie parent/child install, still to download the both the parent and child from Github?

If this is the desired setup you would not download it from the WordPress Repository then correct?

If this is wrong can you do a quick reply on the correct way to get this going properly? Hoping this might help others as well ??

    Thank you!!

    Hi there,

If you want to use a child theme, you can still install the Ollie theme from the www.remarpro.com repo. That way, you can continue to get regular updates to the underlying theme.

Once you have that installed, you can download the child theme and then install that on your site as well. You can download the child theme via the GitHub repo. Here’s a direct download link as well.

    Hope that helps!

This is exactly the direction I was looking for! Been just lovin’ learning how to do things with Ollie! YAY!

Ollie from the WordPress Repo becomes the PARENT and Ollie Child is the Child theme one can customize and it comes from GitHub ??

It does help! thanks again ?? Now onward with Ollie … ??
