parent child hierarchy

I know this should be simple but something is wrong.

I added 2 pages under a parent page and neither will show. I can go directly to the url but they won’t show on the menu. Did I miss something small I needed to do?
Yes I did set them as child pages under the parent and they do show in the backend as child pages. I even set the order.
