Parent Categories

  • Hello,

    So, I have a parent category with 5 child categories. When I publish a post and select only one of the child categories, once the post is published I see that alongside the child category, the parent category is also assigned. Is there any way to prevent this?

    Not really, no. Parent/Child Categories are a form of organization, so if you select a child category, it’s assumed you mean the parent as well, like a broader category.
