Hi, I currently have an issue with the Pardot plugin. I have installed it before and it was all fine; but suddenly it stopped working: I can’t see the whole settings page, I just see the email, password and key fields, but i can not see the save settings button, or the campaing picklist. I already deactivated all the other plugins to see if it had a conflict with some, I re-installed pardot plugin and I still can’t see the settings page. I activated another theme and nothing. Can you help me?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Most likely the same problem I had. What is your PHP version? If 7+, the problem is related to a library that is not available. The plugin did not work for me and I had to add the Pardot code to the footer file.

    Hi @jarvizu,

Are you able to access your error log (or could you temporarily enable WP_DEBUG and see if any relevant errors become visible within that screen)?

@mayahtt that’s possible, but if you are referring to this previous exchange I do want to highlight that the missing library will not be used at all if it is not present.

    Thanks!

This is the error that comes up:

Catchable fatal error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string in /var/www/path/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 1045

I don’t even know what it means ??

Same issue here, please provide help.

I already created a ticket on salesforce/pardot. They asked me to create a ticket here.

@jarvizu: we’re having some problems replicating this (even under PHP 7.2).

What other plugins are currently running (and what theme are you using)? Is it possible for you to establish a staging site running only the Pardot plugin, to see if the problem occurs there with no other factors such as third party plugins?

I am currently using the Composer Theme, and I have a long list of plugins that are running as well.

I already deactivated all the plugins except for the Pardot one, and changed the theme to the TwentySeventeen, TwentySixteen and TwentyEleven (just with the pardot plugin) and still it doesn’t work.

These are the plugins that i’m using:

      Askimet Anti-Spam
      BackWPup
      Column Shortcodes
      Composer Core Plugins
      Contact Form 7
      Contact Form 7 Honeypot
      Counter Number Showcase
      Debug
      Email Subscribers & Newsletter
      Google Analytics Dashboard for WP
International Telephone Input for Contact Form 7
      Owl Carousel
      Query Monitor
      Really Simple CAPTCHA
      Really Simple SSL
      Slide Anything
      Slider Revolution
      Sticky Popup
      Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer
      Ultimate Social Media Plus
      Use Any Font
      WPBakery Visual Composer
      Yoast SEO
      Zendesk Chat

It is not possible for me to create another site and manage it, because it’s running on our company’s server and I don’t have the permissions to make sites for testing, i’m sorry.

OK. Following a note from @jimcin in a separate thread, can you confirm what web server (ie: Nginx, Apache, IIS etc) you are using? Looks to me like it’s Apache 2.4.18 and this may not relate to the problem, but I wanted to check.

    Thread Starter jarvizu

    (@jarvizu)

It is indeed Apache 2.4.18 ??

    @jarvizu,

would you be able to check your database collation?
You should be able to see it in your databse configuration, this is something like :utf8, utf8mb4, latin1, etc.

please provide the complete name if possible. Ex for myself: “utf8 – default collation”

This will help to see if our issue is related.

    thank you

    (@jarvizu)

    I believe it is: “utf8mb4_unicode_ci”

1.4.6 is now available. Please try updating and let us know if it helps to resolve this issue ??

    Hi @jarvizu,

Have you had an opportunity to try the latest version of the plugin and did it resolve things if so? If you are seeing any further breakages (particularly on the frontend) please do let us know.

    Thanks ??
