• I have a parallax-effect on my Astra(child) website. However since recently, it only works when I am in Costumizer mode or:
When my window is wide enough: as far as I can deduce it works in firefox when the window is 39,3cm (1454 px) but not when the window is less or equal to 39 cm (1443 px).

It once worked, even on my old android phone, but after some updates and the use of plugins to speed up the website this is the result.

What I would like to accomplish is that it will work (at least) when a normal full screen PC window is used.

Even help in finding the right CSS and/or JS files of the parallax effect might help me enough to solve this issue.

I would greatly appreciate any help in this matter.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Victor

  • Hi @ecovita,

    Sorry for the delay.

Under the Style tab of a Section, if you set the Attachment to Fixed, you should have the parallax effect. Please refer to this screenshot.

I hope it will help. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any further queries.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

    Dear Herman,
Thank you for your reaction. Highly appreciated.

However, I already had a fixed attachment.
    See the following screenshot:

Or if it works, this link:
    Screenshot.

I also already have a parallax effect, but only if my window is very wide:
when the window is >= 39,3cm (1454 px) but not when the window is less or equal to 39 cm (1443 px).

    So still:
    Help!

    And:

    Thanks in advance!

    Victor.

    Hi @ecovita,

First of all, I am sorry that my previous response was not related, at all, to your query. What I shared with you, was for Elementor and now I realized that you are using our Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg (UAG) plugin. I probably needed more coffee at the moment I wrote my response ??

However, it is actually the expected behavior and not an issue. We use background-attachment: scroll for the smaller devices and that’s why the Parallax effect is not working on mobile.

I hope that clarifies and clears any confusion you may have.

Let us know if you need more help, otherwise please mark the topic as resolved.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

    Dear Herman,

    Thanks again for your reaction.

I hope this is where it starts to become very interesting for you:
I just found out that it DOES work on my mobile phone. And it ONLY works for PC if the window is large enough.

    Additional info:
    – Indeed I have had Elementor but I have removed it because of an unrelated issue.I now indeed have Ultimate addons.
    – The theme I used and for which worked in October 2020 at first was ‘Sierra Nature’.
    – I already looked for @media restrictions and I found that there are CSS files with max-width of 1439 px and also lines with min-width 1440 px. This seems to coincide with the width of the window where the parallax becomes activated. (=>1440px)

However, I have not yet been able to find how to change the CSS files properly so the parallax will work on my PC when the window is smaller then 1440.

So any additional insights are highly appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Victor.
