Yes, that’s expected. When using “Paste as text” it removes all HTML tags, so it will look like one paragraph (line breaks do not affect HTML code).

Perhaps try pasting in the Text tab in the classic editor or the HTML view in the block editor. Then line breaks should be converted to paragraphs.

Ah I see, you mean the “paste” popup from TinyMCE 3.0 that was removed in TinyMCE 4.0.

This has been the case since TinyMCE was updated to version 4.0 six years ago, in WordPress 3.9 (and has nothing to do with the TinyMCE Advanced plugin).

Try to paste in the Text tab, it is quite similar to pasting in the old popup. Alternatively, there is an extended/enhanced paste plugin available from the makers of TinyMCE, https://www.tiny.cloud/. I haven’t tried it so not sure if it will work for your needs.

    Hi

the “paste” popup is not what i am referring to.

i was just trying to show you how the text breaks into multiple paragraphs in tinymce 3x

in the video i have put 2 examples

the new tinymce still can not break the text into multiple paragraphs that is all.

    thanks
