I use the premium MH Newsdesk theme for my site. I went to their support, and they told me that this is just an incompatibility issue with Simple Membership, but I’d rather not find a brand new plugin and start over because of this small issue (and I really love this plugin). When showing the content that all viewers can see before logging in (before the more tag), it’s just one large paragraph instead of several like it should be. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Any code i could try adding possibly?

Hi, it would be good if you could share a URL so that we could check further and maybe provide a solution.

Can you let me know which URL has the more tag option enable so that I can check.

    Thank you

Just click on the first post displayed on the home page titled “Scalping squirrels in Missouri.” On the bottom it will say that you need to login or join us to see the rest of the content. I’ll leave the second post titled “Where’s Malko?” unprotected for you so that you can see what the spacing should look like before the notice of needing to login on protected posts. I guess it doesn’t even show the “read more” button if the post is unprotected, but that’s fine. On the protected posts the more tag is where it stops to give the notice about needing to login

Thank you for your explanation. Did you add <p> tags to “Scalping squirrels in Missouri.”?

    How do I do that?(:

Hi, what I mean is are you actually typing the <p> tags for your paragraph?

If you view your paragraphs using the Text editor while you are editing a post, you will see all the code. This is like viewing your source code in the browser.

    For example

    <p> text goes here</p>

    Plugin Author wp.insider

    (@wpinsider-1)

Please upgrade to the new version (3.1.2) then it should be consistent in both the blog posts view and the individual post view.

The update is good, but it doesn’t fix my problem, unfortunately.

I don’t type the <p> tags in, either. It works if I do type them in (tried it on the squirrel post), but if there is any way I could avoid having to type those in every time, that would be awesome.

@lrileypool it looks like your issue is resolved.

In regards to your question, most people do type the <p> tag in some instances when creating paragraphs. It sometimes depends on the theme you are using.

If you don’t require any more help with this issue can you mark it as resolved.

    Thank you

Our plugin doesn’t not remove any tags from there. Sometimes your theme can auto insert it. The only thing we can do from our plugin is to make them consistent on both views which is what we have done.

    Alright thanks anyway!
