Paragraph tags and the visual editor/tinymce, need help…

    I know that this question has been asked countless times, but I need the most direct and simple answer anyone is able to give because all of the threads suggest different solutions and I’ve been unsuccessful in achieving the desired result. ??

    Why does the WordPress Visual Editor (AKA TinyMCE/WYSIWYG) remove, or simply not add, paragraph tags around paragraphs? And how do I get it to do it?

    Because there is a remove wpautop filter in your functions.php or in a plugin.

    Wow! I’ve had a plugin installed for so long that I actually thought this was a native issue to WordPress/TinyMCE. I had no idea it was caused by a plugin. Thank you!

    In this case it was Ultimate TinyMCE for those who care.
