[panoramic] Panoramic Extended – New Additions I added

[Really wish this theme had it’s own discussion!]

Just sharing my stuff really.

Farley new to WP in General and picked it up super fast. By no means new to Coding HTML, CSS, JS, PHP ect… (20+ yrs experience).

Any ways, I absolutely love this theme and all the options it has. And I felt it needed a little more! And hopefully maybe see them actually get added. Possibilities in design can NOT be limited at ALL! Also, not everyone knows CSS to manipulate to get what they need.

I have added all of this to my own copy.

1. Position Navigation bar above or below header. (Still can sticky)

2. Position Widgets Footer above or below base footer.

3. Base footer split up into display options
– Display as Full Width Centered.
– Display as Two Sections, Left/Right.

4. Added CSS to styles.php to adjust for mobile. Footer text would not center on mobile and looked bad. I using Mobile Break Point value.

5. A WHOLE BUNCH OF COLORING OPTIONS!
– Primary and Secondary is now basically just for Buttons
– Navigation Bar Color (still works with opacity)
– Base Footer Color
– To Top Color (Did not like it blending in with the base footer by using the same colors)
– Top Top Text Color
– Separated Site Title to have it’s own color
– Added separate Link and Link Hover colors
– Added Footer Text Color
– Added Footer Link Colors

6. Changed how the font selection works. You can “Arrow up or down” to change the selection preview instead of having to manually select each one. That was annoying as all hell!

7. Added more “Basic Fonts”. Arial, Tahoma and a few others.

What I wanted to add but got a little stuck.
– Add background image to Site Title (#masthead) area. It did not look so simple to do. Not giving up though!

It has been a good learning experience in how themes work by looking at one that is complex.

It still needs “a few tweaks” here and there. But will get to those as I get to them or come across others.
