Cannot access admin backend

Sorry Lifeshell, enable errors? What do you mean by this?

It has to be Hostpapa. I have three installs, one in root, one in a sub and one as an addon. I cannot access any of their back-ends, even on different systems.

Has anyone else experienced this? It hasn’t exactly come at a good time

That’s understandable, but not really anything we can do or suggest if it’s a server issue – which seems to be the case. Are you able to connect to the server via FTP?

Anything less will probably result in the hacker walking straight back into your site again.

Yes without a problem.

Can access everything in the file manager/webmail etc no problem too.Just log-in panel not letting me back-end access to either root install, sub install or add on domain install

That Securi report shows an Internal Server Error, not necessarily that the site was hacked –

You could try deactivating the plugins folder to see if that makes any difference – by renaming plugins to pluginsHOLD

WPyogi — Everytime the Web penetration software is not correct.

The website can be compromised. you have to look in hostpapa logs to find the exact problem of it.

And by enabling errors i mean . WordPress doesnt show the error as such to visitors so by enabling error you can find out what is wrong with the file.

Yes, that’s my point – it’s not conclusive that the site has been hacked I’m not the one who posted that Securi report.

Surely if it had been hacked they wouldn’t be accessible at all?

All 3 sites are still up, I just can’t access the admin/editor dashboard.
I cannot work this out.It just suddenly went on me

@lifeshell19 – everyone here is a volunteer, myself included. No one is perfect – myself included. Your attitude is off-base – if you want to help out here, that’s great, but criticizing other people is not okay. I think you misread what I said. And an internal server error CAN be a hosting issue.

The point is that an internal server error can be caused by any number of things – and to find out more info, the OP needs to access the server error logs.

@andy Woggle – sorry this got diverted – if you don’t know how to access the server error logs, you do need to ask HostPapa about that.

I am looking into that one right now.

IN the meantime, try making a fresh install of wordpress on your server, not overwriting anything, and see if you run into the same problems.

Am wrong in thinking that this is REALLY VERY WEIRD?

I just called a friend who knows WP inside out (it was he that pointed me in this direction in the first place instead of being tied to Text Wrangler and Dreamweaver for hours on end)..I trust him implicitly and gave him my login details so he could have a look at the error message.

It logged in.

It’s my bloody router. I’m sure it shouldn’t cache like that, but it appears to have. Is this normal? it doesn’t sound like it should be!!
