Paid Version with Add to Cart Ajax – required field issues

Hello I am using Ajax Add to cart as it just creates a far better experience for users when adding products to cart. However I am having an issue where if an addon is a required field but is not selected. When adding to cart the add to cart button loads with a successful check icon and reloads giving the impression it’s been added to cart when infact it has not.

Is there away to either disable the add to cart button until the required field is selected just like the variants do or bring up a notification for users to know this field is required before adding to cart?
