Paid Member Subscriptions – PayPal Pro and PayPal Express conflict with WP

Hello,
I submitted a ticket with the Paid Member Subscription site, but did not receive any conformation that my ticket was successfully received. I checked in my spam folder, etc. Perhaps it’s lost in space.

*My site is password protected via cPanel while being built. Temp login info:
User: testuser123
Password: testuser123

Here is the problem:
When the Paid Member Subscriptions – PayPal Pro and PayPal Express add-on plugin is active, I receive the following message when attempting to install or update other plugins:
Installation failed: Download failed. Response could not be parsed
When I deactivate the Paid Member Subscriptions – PayPal Pro and PayPal Express plugin, the problem goes away.

Not sure what to do. Many thanks for any help.
