Paging of child posts / how to create article chapters

Please help. I’m really lost here

I have a question about child posts or how to divide an article to chapters:

Having an article with child posts, accessible by page number. For example : “https://site.com/how-to-lick-bananas/3” as the third page of this article. That’s common in many sites.

I know there is the “next page” shortcode, but that won’t do when every such “chapter” is a separate post with its own data and all.
