Paging Issue on static homepage

  • Hello there!

    It seems WordPress core having issues with static homepages. Our static homepage has an infinite loop of like https://homepage.com/page/2/ , /page/3/, and so on.

    Any help on how to remove this issue on homepage.

    I checked most WordPress websites I know they are also having this issue.

    Static pages don’t paginate, so there shouldn’t be any pagination links to start with. Where are these links coming from?

    While static pages technically don’t paginate, it’s not unheard of for page templates to make custom queries whose results are paginated. In that case it’s up to the template’s developer to work out a pagination scheme because WP still thinks the request is for a single static page.
