Pagination view when clicked stays on the bottom of the page

Thanks for reaching out.

When you click on pagination (any link 1,2,3, previous, next page) it opens that page but the view stays at the bottom of the page.

I understand your concern about the page not automatically scrolling to the top when a new page is loaded via pagination.

Typically, when a new page is loaded, the view should automatically start from the top. If it’s not, I’d recommend you to try switching briefly to a default theme like Storefront to see if the issue persists. If it doesn’t, then your current theme might be the cause.

If the issue still occurs, try disabling all your plugins except WooCommerce to check if there’s a plugin causing this. You can find detailed steps to performing a conflict test from this guide here.

Issue is not fixed.
It works with Astra and Twenty Twenty One themes.

It doesnt work with Spectra Pro and Twenty Twenty Four themes.

Specta Pro sent me response:
“?After receiving your ticket I have tried the same on your end and noticed that it’s an issue from the FSE theme environment and WooCommerce itself. I just tested on my website with Twenty Twenty-Four and Twenty Twenty-Three (both FSE themes) and I was not able to replicate this issue on my end.

I checked https://numex.hr/wp/shop/ and I was able to see the issue but this site is on Spectra One, right?

You mentioned you have a staging site with no plugins but WooCommerce active, correct?
Is the staging site public? If it is, can you switch the theme to Twenty Twenty-Four and share the link so we can take a look? If you could also share the System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support, that would be great too.

Thank you for your reply and sharing more details.

I tried to recreate the issue on my test site which has only WooCommerce and Twenty Twenty-Four theme active but could not replicate the results.

However, one difference I noticed is that on your site, a page does not reload when I click on the Next Page link. The products are updated on the page via an AJAX request. While on my test site, the page reloads and is scrolled to the top.

May I ask if you have made any changes on your site to enforce AJAX page reloads?

No. I use plugins that use AJAX but I dont see anything specific to AJAX page reloads.

The plugins you’re using shouldn’t cause any interference with the pagination issue on your shop page. However, I did notice that you’re using several caching-related plugins. Do you have a specific reason for using several plugins that perform the same task?

Also, did you edit the Product Catalog template? By any chance, did you upgrade the Products (Beta) blocks on this page to Product Collection? If this is the case, updating to WC 8.7 should resolve the issue, as explained here.

If not, how about conducting a conflict test? You can find a detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
• Repeat the action that is causing the problem
• Make sure to clear cache files after disabling all the cache plugin.

Rest assured, as with all my colleagues, I am still not able to reproduce the issue using the Twenty Twenty-Four theme.

Hi @barrex,

Upon further review of your site, I saw that you’re using the Product Collection block. This block doesn’t inherently support the “scroll to top” feature in earlier versions. However, this issue should be resolved in the WC 8.7 version. So, I would suggest you upgrade your WC to the latest version.

I have tested it on my site and working like a charm.

If this doesn’t meet your requirements, I suggest you revert to the Products block.
