    This my shortcode
    [fileaway directories=”on” search=”no” paginate=”true” pagesize=”15″ redirect=”true”]

This works in Opera, but not in Chrome, Internet Explorer or Firefox

I have cleared cache in all browsers and as I have some directories with a lot of files Pagination is quite important.

Pagination works in every browser. How many files are we talking? Because pagination is generated by javascript, so if it’s a whole lot of files it’s a ram issue.

Hello Thom, thank you for your reply.

Some directories have 50 + files, some less than 20.

I doubt if RAM is the problem. The server is dedicated with 24GB and the PC I’m using has 12.

50 files is nothing. If you had 500+ that might be a strain on low-memory computers.

Pagination continues to work for me across browsers. Did you check your console for javascript errors? Maybe something else is interfering.

A re-install seems to have cured that problem but highlighted another.

Firefox is throwing “non-secure content” errors over https.

I guess this will be the directory and pdf icons
Where do I change the code to deliver these over https?

On the File Away settings page is your url set to https?

    Thread Starter solarman2

    (@solarman2)

Hello Thom, yes it is set to https, and I must admit at this point I have a suspicion that my template may be causing some of the issues, or at least masking them and confusing the whereabouts of the actual culprit.

I have checked I have latest versions of everything I use, and I’m in the fortunate position that I have a test / staging site which is a clone of my production website and all changes I make are first made on the test site before applying to the production site.

I very much appreciate your excellent support and will make sure it is not unrecognised when I get all the issues resolved.

Is your wordpress domain different than the domain where the File Away plugin files are located?

    Thread Starter solarman2

    (@solarman2)

Hello Thom, no both are the same although it is a multisite install and the “library” is a sub-domain although as you know with WP sub-domains are not “real” but virtual.

I have one question I would really appreciate if you could answer for me.

I have my own little icons for book categories I would like to use – where do I put them?

    Thread Starter solarman2

    (@solarman2)

Thom, I must apologise if I have wasted any of your valuable time as I believe I have found the insecure content culprit and it was as I suspected the Template which has a builder built in, and this builder had cached some old files. Deleting that cache seems to have solved that particular problem.

I used this little tool to identify the problem files

    So, as above……

Unfortunately, File Away uses icon fonts, not image files. You would have to modify the source code if you wanted to use images.

    Thread Starter solarman2

    (@solarman2)

Would that be a difficult task Thom?
The categories look so much nicer with a little icon which can be quite descriptive, and as they are small the overhead is minimal.

    (@thomstark)

What is a book category? Are you referring to a specific extension?

    Thread Starter solarman2

    (@solarman2)

Apologies for not explaining myself very well Thom.
I am using File Away as a cataloguing system for books in pdf format.

Rather than have a huge list of “books” I categorise them into relevant groupings.
