Pagination in Single Post with TOC?

Looking at the example you gave, I think you may be approaching this from the wrong direction for WordPress. Are all of these linked posts in the same category?

Thank you for the quick response. I’m not sure what you are meaning by the linked posts being in the same category, maybe I didn’t clearly explain that my example is a single post. It is just a single post using pagebreaks which I can give a title to. The table of contents at the top is just a list of the pagebreaks within the single post.

Am I just trying something that WordPress can’t do? I thought it would be simple because of how easy it is to do pagebreaks with a list of contents in Joomla and WordPress seems to be better in every aspect thus far.

If you just want page breaks, use the <!--nextpage--> tag (that’s the icon showing two pages with a dotted line between them in the Visual Editor).

The link I posted is where I figured out how to do that. Now all I am missing is the ability to put a table of contents so that users can jump to a certain page in the post and not just have to click next, next, next, next to get to where they want to go. haha

Ah! So these are all a single post that has been paginated, yes? A plugin would probably be the simplest option such as:

Well I went to try it out and apparently doing a pagebreak makes the contents list not work. ??

I’ll be exploring different plugins and see what I can find.

Been looking and still have no solution to this. Does anybody have any suggestions? This is the only thing keeping me from dumping Joomla for WordPress.
