Pagination Canonical URL for author page
-
Hi,
I see there is a problem for canonical url when author has multiple pages (pagination) like
https://www.site.com/author/steve/
https://www.site.com/author/steve/page/2
https://www.site.com/author/steve/page/3Now here https://www.site.com/author/steve/ displayes profile bio and all posts done by author.
https://www.site.com/author/steve/page/2 also displays bio and other posts done by author.
Since both pages contain author bio ,so to avoid duplication of content in google, the
https://www.site.com/author/steve/page/2
https://www.site.com/author/steve/page/3
etc should have canonical set to https://www.site.com/author/steve/But I see https://www.site.com/author/steve/page/2 canonical is set to https://www.site.com/author/steve/page/2
https://www.site.com/author/steve/page/3 canonical is set to https://www.site.com/author/steve/page/3
In actual for https://www.site.com/author/steve/page/2 , thecanoncial should be set to https://www.site.com/author/steve
Or should be set noindex for /2, /3 etcPlease advice, how this can be fixed.
