Paginating a custom template which only displays a certain post type

Hello,

I followed this tutorial to create a People page on my WordPress site. It’s working really well! However, I would like to paginate the output, ideally having it display 10 People posts per page. I have no idea where to begin. While I don’t need the exact code (though that would be nice), I would like a few pointers and perhaps a link to a tutorial to help me get started.
