• I have several pages indexed with : ?page=2087 behind the URL.
    Currently I have blocked some of them via Google Search Console but this is not ideal.
    I do not see these pages in the page overview.
    How to get rid of them (in indexing and ranking?)
    Probably robots.txt but I also try to understand where they are coming from.

    They are all just same as homepage.

    Does it make any difference if that query string is there or not? It’s not a normal query var in that context. If it ever did anything, it might be due to a theme or plugin you were using.

    It’s likely it’s indexed like that due to links in external sites. If a “page” query var never does anything, what you could is setup a rewrite rule in .htaccess which strips out the query string and returns a 301 status, indicating it’s no longer the proper URL for that resource.
