PageView and ViewContent: “pixel has not activated”

  • Hello,

    I’m trying to test PageView and ViewContent events inside Facebook Events Manager. Every looks great for server side events, but i can see no activity related to navigator.

    Pixel Helper on Chrome raises this warning for both PageView and ViewContent:

    “We detected event code but the pixel has not activated for this event, so no information was sent to Facebook”

    What could I be missing?

    Hello,

    There are a few things that can trigger the problem:

    1. Cache, try to clear all your caches.

    2. Cookie consent plugin, test with this plugin disabled.

    Once it works, make sure you don’t install the same pixel multiple times. I suspect there are some extra installations, probably using GTM. At least that is what I can see on some other pages of your website.

    Still no luck on this issue. We tried:

    1) Cache: all cleared.

    2) Cookie consent plugin: disabled.

    3) GTM: removed. Still using gtag.js for Google Analytics only.

    We also noticed that there are no warnings from Facebook Helper on Woocommerce product pages like https://www.casabeta.com.br/curso/aquarela-tropical/

    Apparently the problem only happens in articles and categories pages like https://www.casabeta.com.br/como-combinar-cores-circulo-cromatico/, but we are still trying to figure out why.

    Unfortunately I can’t tell you what is wrong. I guess you need to apply the usual WordPress debugging strategy, replace the theme, and activate each plugin one by one.

    I would start with the theme, and any cache, minify or speed-optimise plugin you have. If you use any editor plugin to modify the way your pages look, that would be a candidate too.

    All I can see is that key pieces of our code are not present in the page source.

    I am experiencing the same exact problem with Pixelyoursite.

    In one of the website, already disabled GTM, cleared cache and it shows the same error.

    If I disable the plugin and use only GTM it works ok.

    Still did not figure out what is the problem.
