Pages/Posts Created In Sub-Folder Site Affecting Top-Level Site
-
This may be a quick fix or a systemic problem with my install, but on a WP Multisite sub-folder set up, changes to pages and posts in the site running in the sub-folder are affecting the top-level site. For example, the admin in the sub-folder site creates a new post there, it now shows and publishes live on the top-level site. The sub-folder admin deletes a page of the same title as the top-level site i.e. “contact us” and it moves both to the trash, not just on the sub-folder site. This is obviously creating problems on both sites at this point, as content for the sub-folder site is in a different language (spanish) than the top-level site.
I’ve asked around others I know who use WP Multisite and they’ve not experienced this same phenomenon before. Even with plugins deactivated I am still encountering this, although W3TC was running on the top-level site and I’ve heard that plugin can cause issues with multisite. Any insights would be appreciated!
