PageSpeed complains about preloading of fonts

for reasons I don’t understand the preload directives are in between noscript-tags, which they should not be. might be a conflict with another plugin?

Deactivating: CSS Options > Inline and Defer CSS
no longer displays the preload resources in noscript tags. So it may be a bug related to it

bugs are always possible, but I can’t reproduce it on my own site, cfr. view-source:https://blog.futtta.be/ where you will see the preloaded resource (which is not needed, it’s just a test/ demo) is loaded normally (as in; not in between noscript tags). so my guts tells me something else is happening/ interfering here?

Okey, I tried disabling the WebP plugin but it didn’t do anything

unlikely … so what exactly did you put in the autoptimize -> extra -> preload field?

that’s a lot of preloads, but doesn’t look wrong .. afraid you might have to do the disable/ re-enable plugins one at a time dance to see if one is doing this? :-/

tried that, I ended inserting directly the preloads in the head.

Ok I created a local WordPress installation and removed all the plugins except:
1. All-in-One WP Migration
2. ACF
3. Classic editor
And the noscript tags are still shown so it must be a bug with the inline and defer criticalcss, as disabling that setting is the only that fixes so far the issue

so bizarre … can you list all of AO’s settings you’re using so I can try to reproduce?
