    Just so you’re aware also, WPT is pushing very high compression, not lossless compression. Pagespeed usually only recommends lossless compression.

    The only way to use EWWW IO to achieve the type of results that WPT is claiming is to use the lossy JPG option which requires a subscription. You’ll probably save more than WPT claims, and have better image quality at the end too, since JPEGmini is far superior to setting the quality at a flat level (especially 50, like they recommend, ewww gross).

    Thank you very much for your reply, That article is very interesting and enlightening.

    I enabled the ‘Remove metadata’ option, and that seemed to satisfy Pagespeed, so I’m quite happy.

    I hear what you say about WPT recommendation. The results are tempting ?? I’ll think about getting a subscription.
