Hi, I can’t figure out how to re-order the pages/menu. It looks like the default is alphabetized. Also, we tried uploading a 1200×480 px slider, it still looks off. Please advise, thanks!

Hi @wccwts, thanks for giving Ultra a try.

    Menus

As @wpyogi kindly mentioned, Appearance > Menus is where you can create a custom menu and assign it to the theme’s primary menu position. For a little more on WordPress menus you can also check out:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

Ultra has the following menu positions on offer:

    Top Bar Menu
    Top Bar Social Menu
    Primary Menu
    Footer Social Menu

The social menus use Links (vs Pages) and will add an icon based on the social network you insert as your link. I unfortunately don’t yet have Ultra’s documentation up for this yet. But you can check the following link as the system is the same:

    https://purothemes.com/documentation/puro-theme/social-menu/

(Other themes on www.remarpro.com like Stargazer use the same method).

    Slider

Could you perhaps send some more info on the slider problem you’re facing?

Full width sliders are hard to get right. Using Meta Slider, what we’ve done for the demo is insert our text as an overlay layer. Once uploaded to the Media Library we’ve copied the overlay url into the Caption field available for each slide in Meta Slider. This allows the overlay image in our slider demo to not stretch while the background image does.

The menu is now fixed following the advise above, thanks! As for the slider image, I was able to go around the issue by setting the slider’s crop position to bottom-center (since the text in our image is near the bottom) and selecting R.Slides, theme: default.

Super, really glad to hear you made progress on both fronts. Appreciate you sharing your Meta Slider work around for text positioning, hopefully someone else will find that useful.

We’ll have an update on the way soon with a new theme setting or two and lots of little fixes. I worked on Jetpack widget styling today so those are now looking nice and tidy.

If you run into any further challenges, please let me know.
