Pages/categories question
-
I’m new to wordpress and php, but versed in programming – base your answer off of that knowledge please.
So I downloaded the Buddypress plugin for the user/forum/messaging support. Instead of downloading a BP theme, I thought i’d try to stick with the default wordpress theme, and work from there. For the navigation, I’m using the Page widget, and this is where my problem is.
From what I see, I can only add new pages to this list, but cannot add a link to one of the default buddypress pages (such as mywordpress.com/forum). The only way I can do this is to add it as a category link. I don’t want to make this arbitrary separation – how should I change this? Is there a setting that allows me to add a link as a page? or do I have to hack the .php file and hardcode the link under the ‘pages’ section.
thanks for your time,
Phil
