Pages wont update when new content added

I have made some significant changes to a page on my site but when I press update the changes don’t seem to alter the page the customer sees. If I return to the admin on the page I can see the changes are still there.
Why don’t the changes on the page show on the live site?

Also, I changed the images in the slider for three new images (3 slides on the slider) – again these do not show on the live site, but i see them in the Customising ? Theme Options
