Pages wont load

    I haven’t gone into wordpress for a couple of weeks and now I need to make some changes to my Pages…. when I go to ‘pages’ then choose a page to edit I just get a wheel spinning, nothing else happens. I have not installed any new plug-ins and just to be sure I deactivated the only plug-in I have activated and that didn’t make any difference. I need help

    Are you using any sort of caching plugin, or do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar? If so, would you please try clearing the cache?

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    I have tried all of those things. If I change to the Twenty Fourteen theme then wont I lose the current site on the web?

    I have done a ‘band-aid’ fix by restoring wordpress back to a previous back uo and previous version. I don’t think I will be updating WordPress back to 4.0 any time soon.

    You won’t lose anything by changing to Twenty Fourteen, your site will just look a bit different.

    It’s possible that it was your theme causing the problem, so it’s a necessary troubleshooting step to narrow down the specific cause of the problem.

    Okay, if it happens again I will do that, right now I have an add campaign attached to my website so I don’t really want to mess anything around right now. thanks for the advice.
