I’m looking to have a few page links along the menu at the top of my website. The first link is the home, where all new blog posts under a ‘Main’ category, similar to a standard blog, newest at the top. Then other pages include ‘Game Reviews’, ‘Game News’ and ‘League Updates’. Each one of those pages will show all blog posts under the relevant category (which are all subcategories of main). Then there is also a ‘Blog’ link which takes you to posts under ‘blog’ category which is separate from ‘Main’, and links to standard HTML/PHP pages such as About, Contact Us etc.

I’ve seen a few posts and found a few plugins but they don’t seam to have been tested with WordPress 3.0 and one of the 3.0 features includes a New Custom Menu Management feature, which I’m hoping alone might help me out.

Anyone point me in the right direction here?

  • My first thouoght, since you are using categories….is to just use the menu builder.

You can just add categories to the menu. The when people click on the category name in the menu, they get all posts in that category.

you can look into category templates, etc….. maybe its what you want

but I’m pretty sure the menu will be easiest

Is the menu builder a feature of WordPress 3.0 or is it a plugin? Either way where do I find it?

    – Thanks

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it ?? but my theme doesn’t natively support it so I might have to look for another.
