Pages show deleted and edited by a contributor??

This is the first I have ever seen this happen I was wondering if anyone else has heard this.

Yesterday some pages went missing on the website and some were moved under parent categories. Only I have that kind of access. No one else can do that. I have custom specified user roles. The person it shows as the publisher is a contributor that does not have that kind of access. Also, sometimes I am working on a page and I see that someone else is editing it that is sleeping in the next room. I changed the password. It happened again. I deleted the account, it happened again! They don’t even exist anymore. I even carefully went through all registered users (there are hundreds) to make sure there were no duplicate accounts, I checked the server logs, and could not figure this out.

I am very concerned that these pages can just disappear like that. I have no explanation. Any thoughts?
