PAGES read comments not working

  • the ‘read comments’ link on my ‘Pages’ are not working. The Posts ‘read comments work perfectly – but the Page ‘read comments’ links are dead.

    I looked in the Admin panel & didn’t see anything in particular that could be the error source.

    please advise.

    I am on WP 2.6. It appears that the problem is isolated to just the Pages.

    Is this a bug with the version & is there a fix?

    hi Moshu, one of my visitors reported it, so it appears that it’s not just local to my computer.

    were you able to access the ‘read comments’ in the Pages section?

    Also, I have 3 computers and the link doesn’t work from any of them.

    For a moment I thought I was. Now I realize they are clickable (for me that’s not “dead”) but they don’t do anything. Sorry.

    Most of the themes don’t have the comments template included in thier Page template. I am wondering whether your page.php has the call for the comments.php template.

    you’re correct – they are not ‘dead’ (sorry). what is the easiest way for me to check to see if the page.php has the comments call?

    It either has this line or it hasn’t:
    <?php comments_template(); ?>

    moshu – good call! it’s not there!!!

    how and/or where do I embed it OR have I moved out of my skill-level and need to find PHP help?
