Pages or Posts, what should i do?

Ok so i am interesting in having a multiple page topic, where i am going to talk about a topic for several pages and i want them to all be linked. Something like:

In this instance a review on a product, but this is just in general. I want to have a multi-page topic that will have a link (to next and previous pages, and if at all possible a drop down menu for picking the page). But i also what to use the “Excerpt” feature of a post, so that i can have it posted on the front page, just like techwarelabs did on their review/article:

https://www.techwarelabs.com/

So im not sure what i should use, a page or a post. I would think a page, but im not 100% sure. But then how would i go about using the excerpt and the page navigation?

For future planning i also want to go about using permalinks, again like techwarelabs did on the review on the bluray drive, how it was published under /review/peripherals/<name>/<pages>. Im not sure if this would make a difference if i used a page or post for this but, its just something i want to include on my site.
