• Hi there.

I’ve spent a lot of time looking through this forum and search engines results at other people experiences with this and none of them seem to match my own.

In the Admin area of one of my sites, while it does correctly display the number of pages I have, it doesn’t list them for editing and instead says “No Pages Found”

Other users experiecing this have found the cause to be with a corrupt database or malicous hacking.
Neither seem to be the case with me.

I’ve checked my database tables and they are returning OK
I’ve also looked through all the .htaccess files I can find and none of them look to be tampered with.

I have also deactivated all but one of my plugins and the problem still exists.

Unfortunately, the one remaining plugin is my own and it controls the whole site so deactivating it wont be possible.

If the problem I have can be caused by code in my plugin, then what could I have done? Even if as a lesson as how not to code plugins in future.

If not my plugin then what else could it be?

  • Try changing themes to see if it is a theme problem.

If it is not and you are running the latest version of WP, try reinstalling WP by going to Dashboard->Updates and clicking ‘Reinstall Now’.

If neither of those works, you are probably left with only your own plugin as the cause.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

The Theme shouldn’t have that much effect on the admin area though should it?

I’ve also noticed that I can’t see a draft post in the post list either. It shows the draft number as 1 but if I filter only on the drafts I get nothing.

The theme’s functions.php gets loaded even in the admin area. An error in it can disable the entire site.

I changed to a number of themes including twenty ten and twenty eleven and the page situation is still the same.

I guess that means it’s my plugin.

I’m working on a more commercial update to the plugin so I’ll keep a close eye on things as it progresses.

    Thanks for your help.
